Bio
Originally from Newfoundland, Canada, Kent Foran is a photographer, musician, writer, and teacher based in Hong Kong. His photographic work is focused on people and their environments, and exists in a space between street, documentary and fine art photography, with an emphasis on the odd and the inexplicable within the everyday. His work has appeared in many international publications, group shows, and he has had three solo exhibitions in Hong Kong and curated others. Currently, three pieces are on display at the Seattle Centre on Contemporary Art as part of their show on contemporary Asian art. He was selected as one of Hong Kong’s ten best emerging photographers by DRKRMS Media.
